The Beaches of Bonifacio

The far south of Corsica welcomes you to its legendary beaches. Besides the postcard gems of Palombaggia, Santa Giulia and Rondinara, the region has many other coastal treasures.

Just a few minutes away from Pian del Fosse, the Gulf of Sant’Amanza stretches out before you, its crystal-clear waters, its coastline dotted with secluded coves and long sandy shores. On the other side of the Capicciolu headland, home to one of the island’s famous Genoese towers, there is a long coastal walk with uninterrupted views over the islands of Cavallo and Lavezzi. At the start of the walk is the beach of Cala Longa, a haven of peace with fine sand.

Further south, the now-famous beaches of Sperone, with their white sand and turquoise waters, attract more and more visitors every year, and it’s easy to see why when you discover their idyllic charm. Facing neighbouring Sardinia, at the southernmost point of the island, Capo Pertusato, the beautiful Saint Antoine offers a breathtaking spectacle. Only accessible by foot, this beach is surrounded by majestic rock formations overlooking crystal-clear waters. Finally, we can ‘t leave you without mentioning Fazzio. This winding cove is well worth a visit after a magnificent hike through the Corsican scrubland. A true Bonifacian jewel, it’s hard not to be moved by the sight of the white cliffs reflected in the pure water at your feet.
